Wilder performance
Move better. Recover better. Perform better.
Why wilder performance?
My own interest in performance-focused yoga began through running.
For years, I loved running but regularly found myself dealing with niggles, setbacks and periods where injury interrupted the training I wanted to do.
Through studying anatomy as part of my yoga training and developing a much more consistent movement and yoga practice, I began to understand my body differently — where I lacked mobility, where I was compensating, and how recovery and movement quality needed to sit alongside the miles.
Today, running remains a huge part of my life. I’m currently training injury-free and preparing for the 2027 London Marathon, with yoga, mobility and recovery forming an integral part of that process.
That experience sits at the heart of Wilder Performance: not training less, but supporting your body so it can meet the demands of training more intelligently.
BUILT AROUND YOUR SPORT
Every discipline asks something different of the body.
A runner may need support around hip mobility, ankle range, posterior-chain recovery and maintaining movement quality through higher training loads.
A judo athlete may place enormous demands on the shoulders, thoracic spine, hips, grip and rotational movement.
A performer may need mobility, strength, control and recovery while also maintaining the physical freedom their work requires.
That’s why Wilder Performance sessions aren’t generic yoga classes with “athlete” added to the title.
Each session can be shaped around the physical demands of your sport, your training schedule and what your body needs most.
Practices may incorporate:
Sport-specific mobility
Active flexibility
Strength and control
Joint range of motion
Balance and proprioception
Recovery-focused movement
Breathwork
Nervous-system downregulation
Restorative yoga
Movement preparation around training or competition
WORKING WITH ATHLETES
Wilder Performance can support individual athletes, teams, clubs and training camps.
Recent work has included delivering bespoke yoga and mobility sessions for Judo athletes, creating practices specifically around the demands of judo and complementing their existing training programme.
Rather than approaching athletes with a traditional studio yoga class, sessions are designed to feel relevant to what they actually do — considering training load, movement patterns, areas of restriction and where yoga can provide useful support.
PERFORMANCE WITHOUT THE ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL
You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to know yoga terminology.
And you certainly don’t need to swap your sport for a yoga mat.
Wilder Performance is simply another tool in your training toolkit — one that can help you understand your body better, move with greater intention and create more space for recovery within a demanding programme.
Sessions can be offered as:
One-off athlete workshops
Regular team sessions
Training-camp programming
Pre- or post-training mobility
Recovery sessions
One-to-one athlete programmes
Small-group performance yoga
Bespoke support for sporting organisations
Every offering starts with the same question:
What does your sport ask of your body — and how can we support it?
TRAIN HARD. MOVE INTELLIGENTLY. STAY WILDER.
01 / 1:1 athlete support
Personalised movement for your performance goals.
One-to-one sessions built around your sport, training load, movement patterns and areas you want to improve. Ideal for athletes looking for targeted mobility, recovery support, better movement awareness or a complementary practice alongside their existing training.
02 / team and club sessions
Movement that supports the demands of your sport.
Bespoke yoga and mobility sessions for teams, clubs and squads, designed around the shared physical demands of the discipline. Sessions can focus on mobility, recovery, movement quality, breathwork or restorative practice depending on what the group needs.
03 / TRAINING CAMPS & PERFORMANCE EVENTS
Integrated support when training demands are highest.
Yoga and mobility sessions delivered as part of training camps, competition preparation, athlete weekends or performance programmes. Practices can be tailored around the schedule itself — from energising movement and pre-training mobility to post-session recovery and downregulation.
